Announcement: RBEX Inc. dba Apple Towing Co. | Apple Auctioneering Co. in proud partnership with Jonathan Melnick Auctioneers is conducting a Live/Online Webcast auction with reserve on behalf of the United States Marshals Service.
Auction Method: Live/Online Webcast. Online bidding will open (Friday, 9/29/2023 11 AM ET) and will continue throughout the duration of the live auction, which begins (Friday, 10/13/2023 11 AM ET). The highest online bid will be the opening bid during the live auction. Online bidding will be available during the live auction.
Auction Conducted with Reserve. The United States Marshals Service reserves the right to approve the final offer made by the successful high bidder, even after the auction lot closes and the auctioneer announces "Sold." The reserve amounts will not be disclosed to the public, and there will not be a "Reserve Met" or "Reserve Not Met" disclosure during the auction.
These assets are offered "As-Is, Where-Is" and ALL PURCHASES ARE FINAL. All information in this auction is derived from sources believed to be correct but not guaranteed. Assets are sold "AS-IS" and "WHERE-IS" without warranty or guarantee. All known information about the condition and description of the property has been posted on the website. Bidders may obtain additional information by attending the live preview and visually inspecting the items. The buyer is responsible for thoroughly inspecting the merchandise, determining its condition and value, and bidding based solely on that judgment. ALL PURCHASES ARE FINAL.
No Buyer's Premium: Successful high bidder will only pay the winning bid amount.
Live Preview & Auction Location: B&O Railroad Museum - 901 W Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21223 (Directions).
Live Preview, In-person Inspection: Attendants must check in at the gate and provide a valid ID to enter. Attendants are only authorized to visually inspect the assets and take photos/videos. Staff will start the assets periodically.

How to Register: The information provided when registering will be the information assigned on the title work (U.S. Government Standard Form-97, Certificate to Obtain Title). If you choose to have your purchase in a business name, the business name and address need to be utilized. Information will not be verified before the execution of the title work.

Create an account by clicking "Login/ New Bidder" in the top menu bar, or by clicking the "Register to Bid" button in the auction listing. First-time participants will then click the "Register Here" button. Follow the prompts to complete your account information, accept the Terms & Conditions, and sign in to the auction.
How to Bid:

First, log in to the online auction.

The bid amount type is set to FIXED / FLAT BIDDING. Bidders specify a fixed amount they are willing to pay, which remains constant until another bidder places a higher bid. The highest online bid will be the opening bid during the live auction. Online bidding will be available during the live auction. If no additional bids are placed during the live sale, the Property is awarded to the highest online bidder.
What to expect once the auction closes:

Once all items in the auction close, email notifications will be sent (from bidresults@appletowing.com) to all participating online bidders with the results. For each lot the bidder bids on, it will list "won" or "outbid." The auction company will seek final approval from the U.S. Marshals on all lots.

Once approval is received, high bidders will receive an email (from approval@appletowing.com) with payment instructions. After receiving this notice, please check your email (and junk mail) periodically. Payment must be RECEIVED by (Tuesday, 10/17/2023, 5 PM ET).

Once payment is received, the auction company will execute the sale documents and email them to the buyers via DocuSign for electronic signature.

Once documents are signed by the buyer, Property Release documents will be emailed to the buyer as well as the property custodian.

Once the Property Release email is received, the buyer must immediately contact the property custodian to schedule property removal.

Original title transfer documents will be executed and mailed from Apple Towing Co | Apple Auctioneering Co (HQ).
Payment Collection & Deadline: The auction company will collect cash or cashier's checks onsite at the conclusion of the live auction until 3 PM. All payments submitted after (Friday, 10/13/2023 3 PM ET) must be submitted by wire transfer or a cashier's check with overnight delivery to our headquarters in Houston, TX (8511 S. Sam Houston Pkwy E., 2nd Floor, Houston, TX 77075). Account information and payment instructions will be emailed to all successful online bidders and provided to all live auction attendants who have successfully won an item. Full payment must be received by (Tuesday, 10/17/2023 5 PM ET).
Removal (On Auction Day): No assets will be released until the live auction has been completed. Removal on auction day will be available until (3 PM, for assets paid in full).
Removal (After Auction Day): Removal will be available (Monday, 10/16/2023). All removals beginning (Monday, 10/16/2023) must be made by appointment (Tim 410-999-5373; 410-238-7759). Pickup Location: White Marsh Transport - 2010 Reservoir Road, Sparrow's Point, MD 21219. The removal deadline for all assets is (Friday, 10/27/2023). Please see the Terms & Conditions.
